Barack = John Kerry Part Deux??

Leave it to Barack Obama to make John Kerry look like he understands Blue Collar America.

Barack was in San Francisco, speaking to donors, and was trying to tell them what he is trying to overcome and “fix” in order to win the election.

The result was a particularly odious, condescending, monologue exposing Barack as just another limousine liberal who looks down his nose at “Middle America”.

Barack said;

“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Everyone got that?? In one short speech he basically painted Middle America as a bunch of xenophobic, fundamentalist zealots who have no real views and morals but instead are reflexive amoebas who become “religious” or “gun nuts” because they lost their jobs.

Obama Is Wrong

Lets review his statements;

  •  the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them

I wonder how Barack explains the nationwide unemployment rate which has hovered around 5% for over a decade.

  • antipathy to people who aren’t like them

You mean like Obama’s pastor and spiritual mentor (the Rev. Jeremiah Wright)’s racism and anti-Americanism? Its funny how he can demean millions of people he has never met while ascribing to them actions he has not seen. But bends over backwards to defend Wright as some “crazy uncle” that he cannot denounce even though he was a member of Wright’s church for decades and most assuredly heard many sermons like the ones I’ve linked to.

Sorry - this doesn’t pass the smell test.

  • anti-immigrant sentiment

Right…those of us who want to enforce the law and just want people to come into the country legally are somehow transmogrified into xenophobes? It strains credulity.

  • anti-trade sentiment

You mean like his anti-NAFTA sentiments he has been espousing for months, but which really turn out to be a lie? Or his most recent anti-Colombia trade agreement stance?

 Remember - Obama Is Never Wrong - You Are

Barack first tried to deny that there was nothing wrong with what he said.

Lately, there has been a little, typical sort of political flare-up because I said something that everybody knows is true, which is that there are a bunch of folks in small towns in Pennsylvania, in towns right here in Indiana, in my hometown in Illinois who are bitter

Of course the problem, he now maintains, is ours for “misconstruing” his words.

“Obviously, IF I worded things in a way that made people feel offended, I deeply regret that”  [emphasis mine]

This is another insult masquerading as an apology. It is Kerry-esque by half.
He then tried to play the Bible Scripture-card by saying this;

The Scripture talks about clinging to what’s good. This is something that I’ve talked about before, something I’ve talked about in my own life, which is that religion is a bulwark, a foundation when other things are not going well. That’s true in my own life through trials and tribulations

Right - but no mention is made of the reference to us “unwashed masses” who desperately are in need of being lead to the promised land by our new messiah - Barack Hussein Obama.

Each time the Obama campaign has had to play “cover-up” they have issued the same type of non-apology.

Here are just a few examples;

  • His wife had to explain that she had been misinterpreted when she said she only recently became proud of America
  • His mentor was misintepreted as well (according to his cult members in Michigan).

So remember - YOU are just a close minded rube who needs to be instructed by the “enlightened” messiah known as Obama.

And if you disagree or get offended by his “truth telling” then you are the one who is wrong for misinterpreting him.

    As usual thaiphoon, you are ON the money.

    I have been so sick of Obama for weeks now. Thanks for getting it out there that Obama is a certifiable elitest. Can’t believe how people listen to him and give him a free pass for stepping in it almost everyday.

    He makes John Kerry look good. And I detest John Kerry.

    Thanks Saucy. He really is out of touch isn’t he?

    He is so out of touch. I watched only a few moments of last night’s debate and it was interesting how he spoke so slowly as to not mangle his thoughts. It cracked me up to hear both of them talk about how they wanted less government for the people and they represent BIG government…i mean are people too stupid to see universal health care is BIG government? Maybe I’m missing something…*scratches head*

    - Don’t know if he could, but I’ll give it a shot. Jobs shift. Even our current economic woes are being somewhat offset by something unexpected. We’re in a male recession (stop looking at my hairline). I mean, while men are losing jobs in construction and manufacturing, hiring is up in nursing and healthcare. Women are finding more jobs while men are finding less (or losing more). From November to April, women have gained nearly 300,000 jobs while men have lost 700,000.

    Something similar applies to your example. You don’t really think America has as many manufacturing/factory jobs available today as it did 25 years ago, do you? No sir. But we’ve seen growth in other industries such as finance (until recently) healthcare, technology and consulting.

    So the plight of the blue collar laborer is very real despite Obama’s ineloquent choice of shoe food. He’s an elitist, yes. But then so are most politicians. I’d suggest you can’t be a politician unless you long ago lost touch with the reality most of us live with.

    Lock down the border and shoot anybody who tries to come across illegally. Yeah, I am generally a nice guy. I try to push kindness, decency, tolerance, fairness and general good behavior. But my neighborhood was locked down a few weeks ago by federal and local law enforcement thanks to an MS13 event and the neighborhood is still under watch for “likely retaliation.” I’ve lost any and all possible sympathy with illegals. I’m done. I’m sick of sacrificing my rights, my job opportunities and now my family’s safety for people who broke the law the minute they set foot on US soil.

    Simple as this - come here legally, obey the laws, be an upstanding citizen and I welcome you with open arms. Don’t, though, and you are a member of an invading force and should be dealt with accordingly - At the very least, penalties for employing illegals should carry a minimum mandatory prison sentence to discourage the practice and remove the incentive to come here illegally.

    This one really pisses me off. That anybody should be above the law simply based on numbers and volume of voice is utterly offensive to me. And to pander to the Hispanic vote by casting those supporting legal immigration in a negative light is doubly offensive.
