This, from the Washington Post, hammers home how long politicians have been trying to convince us that, 'we're not ethical. honest! why won't anybody believe us?!'

"Sex scandals have been tainting American politicians and titillating the public for nearly as long as there have been American politicians and publics. In 1797, former Treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton confessed to a long affair with the married Maria Reynolds after a pamphleteer published the couple's love letters. The episode dented Hamilton's reputation at the time, but hasn't damaged his standing as a Founding Father."

Thai -

Just one more in a long list of reasons I wouldn't trust a politician to get wet if he fell out of a boat.

Agree with Marlin. Somebody somewhere stated he'd paid for his fun out of his own pocket. Taxpayer dollars not touched... that's if you'll discount that the travel expenses to his rendevous were business related so...

I've compiled a list of things one should hide when in the presence of a politician lest they be run off with or otherwise violated (and you can put a D or an R after pretty much any of them):
Liquor
Gay Men
Money
Prostitutes
Rights
Ethics
Values
Honesty
Integrity
(feel free to add your own)

Politicians should be required to undergo an annual performance review like most American workers. And most of them should be on a 30 day probationary PIP.
